Bob Nightengale of USA Today is reporting that Brad Lidge is getting strong consideration to be the Phillies new color commentator for their broadcasts - if he wants the job.
Since retiring, Lidge has served as a part-time host on MLB Network Radio. Lidge is well-educated and has a personality ordered toward broadcasting and definitely a strong candidate. With the decision belonging to Comcast Sports Net, however, they may choose to go with the more familiar Ricky Bottalico, who has minor league experience as a color commentator.
Not a bad selection.

I would prefer a player/manager rather than a pitcher. Their views are always tilted toward the pitching rather than the offense. Ben Davis over Ricky Bo.
