I have no problem with the On-Deck Series if the Phillies are playing an American League team. The fact that it's Pittsburgh the last three years shows that the On-Deck Series may have run its course. True, there are a lot of players that will be playing in the minors, but that's why the tickets are a few bucks cheaper than the regular season.


Joe - Yes, the American League teams made it a little more interesting. However, if say, the Detroit Tigers come - how many innings would Prince Fielder actually play before Brandon Inge comes in to play first?

I don't like the choice of opponent, but you have to play somebody on these days, to get the pitching lined up on rest for the real games. It's more baseball, enjoy it.
