ESPN's Steve Berthiaume reports that there were angry words between Phillies starting pitcher Cliff Lee and outfielder Shane Victorino.
Victorino lost a routine fly ball which led to a triple and ultimately a run. By rule, the play is considered a triple if the fielder does not touch it.
The Phillies broadcast ultimately talked about it and showed Charlie Manuel getting in between the two.
Oh, and Domonic Brown is now a center fielder, should the team decide to get one the starting pitchers like.
UPDATE: After it seemed it was over, Victorino could not help himself and kept mouthing off at Cliff Lee, who got up from his seat and started towards Victorino in the dugout, until he was intercepted by Brian Schneider.
Victorino went 0-5, while Lee went 2-3 and scored from first on a double, as if to make a statement about playing hard.
I have a feeling this is not over. Stay tuned.

IT IS REALLY NOT FAIR TO VICTORINO. HE JUST LOST THE BALL. IT HAPPENS. DID WE FORGET THAT HUNTER PENCE ALSO LOST THE BALL TOO? SHANE IS A COMPETITOR WHO WANTS TO WIN JUST LIKE MOST OF THE PHILLIES. CLIFF LEE IS JUST FRUSTRATED THAT HE CANNOT GET A WIN. HOPEFULLY THESE TWO GET GET ALONG IN THE CLUB HOUSE. IF NOT THEN ONE OF THEM WILL BE GONE FROM THE PHILLIES ORGANIZATION MAYBE FOR A POWER HITTER. NOT SURE WHO IS OUT THERE IN THE COMING FREE AGENCY MARKET.

Denny...really dude? if you watched the game you realized cliff was angry with shane giving up on the ball after it was hit over his head. cliff went 2 for 3 at the plate, scored from 1st on a double and held the best offense in the NL to 3 runs on a night after they scored 9 runs and hit about 1000 ft of homeruns. cliff's out there leavin it all on the field and shane half-asses a play after he makes a mistake. losing a ball in the lights/sun is forgivable but giving up on the play isn't.

Shane also prevented 2 outs that game. Lee is a postseason choke artist and allowed 3 runs that night. Maybe he should keep his butt on the bench until he's throwing a perfecto.
