your opinions are yours, but the only thing i'd like to say is please proof read your article before posting it to the world to see. "but all of that business will be figure out at that time." should be "figured". thanx.

I don't like the fact that we would be giving up more than we'd receive. Blanton, Victorino (!), and a prospect? You've gotta be kidding me. A package of Blanton, and prospects would better fit this type of trade, because, quite frankly, we can get more out of any package including Victorino. He's still an above average OF'er, and unlike Youkilis, he's not close to putting the bat and glove away. Youkilis would definitely be an upgrade, but not that dramatic of an upgrade.

So, trade an everyday, productive, 31-year-old outfielder who has not been injury prone and who is top 3 on the team in hits, RBIs and steals for a part time, 33-year-old 3rd baseman with a history of injuries and prospects? You, sir, are an imbecile. That is possibly the most ridiculous "what we should do" idea I've ever heard, and I've heard plenty.

In the future, just because you think some hare-brained idea is a good one, doesn't mean you need to share it with teh internets.

As a red Sox fan I'd say the best trades are the ones that don't work out. We need to keep Youk -- the Phillies don't have anything that can help us!

If The Red Sox are going to trade Youk....Seems they should trade for whatever weakness the sox have....pitchers, pitchers, pitchers
