Miami's baseball fans are extremely upset at the most recent Marlins fire sale. Yesterday, to protest the dismantling of the team, all of the Marlins' fans came out to Marlins Park to voice disapproval of the trade of the Miami Marlins to the Toronto Blue Jays.
The blog With Leather has the report:
Fans of South Florida’s embattled baseball franchise flocked to their year-old stadium to express their disdain with owner Jeffrey Loria for trading away half of their team for a group of players that doesn’t even include the Blue Jays’ top prospect. And as anyone would have expected, you could count the Marlins fans protesting on one hand.
I feel for them and hope they get some satisfaction from this whole situation. I wouldn't even feel so bad reminding them that with MLB.tv they can watch any team that they want. They can feel free to follow the Phillies. I'd sponsor their membership as a Phillies fan. And, when the Phillies arrive nine times a year, they can watch them play in Miami.

Thanks for posting this article. Contrary to popular belief, there are real fans down here that care about baseball and the integrity of the sport. I've been a fan of the marlins since their inception but this last insult was boiling point for me. I'm though with this organization of crooks and thieves. i will never set foot in that park or watch a marlins game on tv as long as Loria is owner. I'm rooting for the Braves now. Go Braves!

Chris - thanks for writing. I still think you should be a Phillies fan, though!

However, if you are feeling more daring, there are some great coloured leggings out there too!
