why do the phils want this inciarte guy? Hes 5'7 160. Has no pop and cant work the count. what do they see in him that they gave stutes roster spot to him?

Where is the "surprises"? We all knew that Inciarte was going to make the roster until D. Young comes off the disabled list, other than that, the roster was pretty set...

Inciarte's listed at 5'10". He's only 22 years old so if not for being a rule 5 pick he'd be in AA. He's more of a prospect than a guy they expect to help them a lot this year. He's got speed and has shown solid on-base ability in the minors.

Inciarte is there to be a pinch runner and defensive sub, I guess. Don't you have to keep Rule 5 guys up all year or they go back to their original team?
